The California Wing Cadet Programs family, Civil Air Patrol, and America are with heavy hearts with the news of our brother USAF A1C Kenneth Sturgill's passing on 07Jul16 on active duty. Kenneth was our commander, flight mate, mentor, best friend, brother, son. He was a man of determination and honor. He impacted so many in a positive way by leading by example and pushing everyone he met toward greatness. He was a true American Patriot and lived to serve others. Thoughts from his father "While we have lost a son, an airman, a patriot, an amazing young man, Tammy & I can take some peace in the fact that we have no regrets. All of our conversations (including our last) were always respectful, honest, open, and loving" Blue skies and tail winds brother!! #NFQ

Cadet Encampment Assistance Program (CEAP)

Thanks to Air Force support, CAP has special funding available this year to cover encampment fees, uniforms, transportation, and other costs associated with our encampment program, with an emphasis on serving economically disadvantaged cadets. This is great news and evidence of the Air Force’s pride in the accomplishments of CAP cadets and enthusiasm for their future. If a cadet wants to attend an encampment this summer, financial considerations should not be a factor holding them back.

Who can participate?
Assistance is available only to first-time encampment attendees participating in a Summer 2016 encampment. It is targeted towards helping low income cadets attend encampment.

Deadline to sign up for this event is Sunday May 29th, so act now!
